Ludo Rocks.  Really.

I'm excited to report that Island Recording Artist LUDO has finally posted the images we shot back in the spring! In fact, they were one my first clients at Studio 1*FIVE*0.  I've been eager to show some of these off, but had to wait until the band formally posted them. If you like amazing, clever, geek rock - then check them out! http://www.myspace.com/ludorock Keep checking out their page to see more photos from our shoot.

Here are some of my favorite photos from our shoot:

The Coathangers - Tanya Harding

I don't exactly know why I forgot to post this when I built this website last year. In any event, The Coathangers have a new record out, so it reminded of this little video we did. This was shot in couple of locations, with my Canon 5D. All the images were stitched together in post, sycn'd to the music and wa-la! If only I'd the 5D II had been out then! Enjoy...

Indigo Girls Promotional Images Are Live!

I had the distinct pleasure shooting Amy and Emily at my home studio last fall. They couldn't have been nicer, more laid back women. They were so easy to shoot. I wish all my clients were that chill.  Although I didn't say it at the time, I did have that slightly surreal *moment* when I realized that I was being paid to shoot the very artist who wrote one of the first songs I ever learned on guitar (Closer to Fine).  Awesome.

Their new record just launched, called Poseidon and the Bitter Bug, and they've posted two of my photos from this session on their website.  Go to the section called "Media".

Here are the two images they chose to post!

Studio 1*FIVE*0 is now open!

About 6 weeks ago, I was introduced to Lanny West through Eileen Tilson (of Just West Entertainment). Lanny had recently closed a retail store on the west side of Atlanta, but since he was still on the lease for awhile, was looking for interesting business ventures for the space. He had previously heard from friends that the space might make a good photo studio, so Eileen hooked us up to discuss the possibilities. A few weeks later, and a few business plan iterations later, Studio 1*FIVE*0 was born!

The three of us partnered together, and we converted the space into "Studio 1*FIVE*0". We attacked the space in phases. First we emptied the space of it's past contents. Then we hired a contractor to build us a coved cyclorama wall, which turned out beautifully! We painted, cleaned, rearranged, etc. Within a few weeks we had the space ready for our opening party which took place on Feb 28th. I can't tell you how exciting it was to actually light up the Cyc and start shooting on it!

We've already had our first few bookings for some photography and some videography. As with any new venture, it's going to be a bit of an uphill climb to market the space and win new customers. But the space is awesome, affordable, and those who have seen it really love it! We have high hopes. Here are some photos of the construction of the space.
